FUNEBRE (Mournful; suitable for a funeral. Italian,French,Spanish)

FUNEBRE raises in the year of 1999 and formed by Rodrigo Khadaver until 2004. The original lineup was: Rodrigo Khadaver (Vocals), Esdras (Lead guitar), Baruk (Rhythm guitar), Korro (Bass guitar), Adrian (Drums), Leonardo (Keyboard).

FUNEBRE was a project born from a previous breakup of a Popular Bay Are band Known as METALMORFOSIS. During 1999 the band released their first full album called: Tecnologia Retrograda a CD full of extreme Thrash/Death metal music, with punishing vocals and speed that shredded through butter with ease. FUNEBRE gain respect as one of the best Metal Acts by both the English and Spanish Metal scene from San Jose, California.

In 2004 Funebre broke up. In 2005 a new chapter was being written once more. Baruk the only remaining member and the youngest of them all decided to continue with the Band. However, Baruk decided to bury the old FUNEBRE and founded the newer born FUNEBRE to its symphonic/melodic sound and changing its image to a more Gothic Metal essences.

From the beginning FUNEBRE had a massive following and that following continue to grow even thou the band had different members and the sound was very different from its current aggressive one. But that never stopped the old fans who followed the older sound, in the contrary FUNEBRE gain a mass following and continued to rise as one of the best acts in the Bay Area Metal scene.

Now fronted by a female vocalist FUNEBRE was developing a sound entirely of its own: a darkly neo-classical combination of death metal and more subtle, melodic and acoustic elements that manifest themselves in elaborate melancholic love and death songs which exude imagination, invention and class. Finally, Funebre joined the ranks of the Melodic/Symphonic metal acts from the USA. 2005 to 2013 Lineup: Deborah (Vocals), Baruk (Guitar/Growls), Jesse (Guitar), Nick (Bass), Taylor (Pianos/Keyboards), Bert (Drums). 2006 Recorded five songs and released a limited demo CD, and in 2008 Through Metal Edge Release their hit song Angel Tears making it FUNEBRES main Anthem and paying tribute to its Symphonic/Melodic Metal roots. In 2007 Tristan Joins the band after the exit of Taylor taking over Pianos and Keyboards.

Since the beginning, FUNEBRE has had the pleasure to share the stage with numerous bands from all over the world. FUNEBRE started as an opening act and climbed its way to supporting act, co-headliner and finally headliner. No matter the situation, Funebre continues to play regardless of their set position. Eventually FUNEBRE once more disband. Becoming a one-man band.

Now 2020 the Covid era starts. Funebre awakens from being dormant.
